Malta Fashion Week #Day5 Overview - Suzana Peric, Nathan Micallef and Ritienne Zammit

Hey guys, sorry this post is up a bit late but I finally had time to upload this! This post is all about last Friday's shows of the Malta Fashion Week. If you'd like to read all about my outfit for the night you can read about it here.

The first fashion show of the night was that by Suzana Peric and her collection Dancing in the Clouds. She was born in Sarajevo (Bosinia and Herzegovina). She later moved to Germany where she enrolled one of the most distinguished fashion schools – Academy for Fashion and Design – in Dusseldorf. Whilst seeing her newest collection I immediately noticed how sheer and simple the pieces are yet some of them really stood out! Many of the pieces were simply one colour. It started off with a couple of white pieces, which made me feel like I really am in the clouds! Most of the models had sleek pulled back hair whilst the makeup was quite minimal using only light tones as shadow. Photography is by Neil Psaila.

Moving on to the only presentation of the night, we saw the newest collection of Nathan Micallef. He is a Maltese studying in London. I must admit his collection was different than anything I have ever seen. His collection called Really Not Real focused mainly on monochrome pieces which all had Nathan's brand name. What I loved about this presentation was that the models were very close to the audience, therefore creating more of a personal contact with those who were watching. Hair was tied back in a half-up half-down style for the most part and the makeup was quite fantasy like (which I LOVED)! Photography is by TRESemme Malta.

Finally, the last fashion show for the night (and also for this year's Fashion Week) was that by Ritienne Zammit. I must admit I was curious to see how she was going to incorporate the theme and name of this collection, that is, I love Valletta with several clothing pieces. However, she blew me away with her skills, ideas and creativity. Her pieces were simply stunning! I loved everything about the models - from the short black hair, space buns and headpieces to the amazing bold makeup looks! Photography is by Go Raw Photography.

And that's a wrap with the 2017 Malta Fashion Week - it was such a lovely time and I'm super excited for next year!

Take care guys!

Malta Fashion Week #Day5 - Outfit of the Night

For those of you who follow my blog or follow me on our Facebook Page, know that I have exams coming up next Monday. Therefore, I couldn't attend all of the fashion shows at the Malta Fashion Week 2017. Thankfully, I managed to attend yesterday's shows meaning I got to see three amazing collections from three talented designers, two Maltese and one Serbian. I will have the blogpost all about the new collections later on today. This post is specifically dedicated for the outfit that I wore yesterday!

I chose this backless red bodycon dress. I never in a million years thought I would be comfortabe with wearing this type of dress for the simple reason that my back was completely 'exposed' so to speak plus the straps were joined together by twisting both of the straps and crossing them over to create this really cool design at the back of your dress! This is that kind of dress that you can switch the straps in different ways to make your dress look different. However, I chose to wear it this way!

Since it it is quite a statement dress and it does have a low V, I decided to keep it simple with accessories and I simply wore my Michael Kors watch with the dress. I paired it with my black high heels as well as my black clutch bag. It was such a fun night - thank you goes to Lara and Kezia for taking the photos for me (I know I can be quite picky when choosing a photo)! And a bigger thank you to Neil Psaila for taking the more professional photos because I'm quite camera shy but he patiently kept taking photos until I found one that I love!

Dress - Chante Boutique
Shoes - New Look
Clutch Bag - Stradivarius
Watch - Michael Kors

I will see you later on today as I will be posting the overview of yesterday's fashion shows! In the meantime you can still check out my Insta stories on @distortedpriorities to see the videos I posted yesterday during the fashion shows.

Love,

Outfit of the Day #OOTD

Hi beauties, hope everyone is okay! I'm actually sick as I'm writing this post - I've got a really bad sore throat, massive headache and I've been coughing all day. To top it off, I still have to keep up with my studies and assignments! So if you notice that I'm lacking in my posts that is why. But don't worry, summer is around the corner and I will be back in business in no time!

For today's post I decided to share with you another outfit of the day, which Lara helped me in (again!). These past couple of days the weather has suddenly changed and it feels like winter is back! Therefore, I thought it would be perfect timing for this post to go up!

For this simple look, Lara wore an army green midi skirt which she paired with this white sleevless polo-neck. She then paired her beige duster coat for when it's slightly windy (like today) and finished off the look with her black heels. How simple is that, am I right?

That is all for today! Hope you liked this #ootd. If you have any blog posts suggestions be sure to leave them in the comments section down below!

Also, don't forget we have a giveaway at the moment where you can win these beauties from SIX Malta. All details to the giveaway can be found here.

Thank you goes to Lara for helping me out and for Sabrina for the amazing photos she always takes!

I will see you all next week!
