Your Wand, Your Rules ft. 3ina Mascara Collection

Hi beauties! It's finally Friday - YAY! I have a jam-packed weekend, what about you?! Today I will be talking about one of 3ina's latest launches - their Mascara Collection. I think if I had to pick one beauty item that I would take with me to a deserted island, it would be a mascara. I just loves the difference it makes after I apply it to my lashes. I've been applying mascaras to my top and bottom lashes for quite a while now that I almost completely eliminated applying eyeliner to my waterline.

Today I will be reviewing two of 3ina's latest products: The Lash Primer and The Ultra Volume Mascara.

I tried out the following products as I was trying out a makeup look that I will be featuring in the following weeks on the blog and I also tried them for when I went out with my friends.

I first tried the mascara without applying the lash primer and then I tried it on my other eye with the lash primer before. The Lash Primer is a creamy, glide-on base that lengthens, conditions and volumizes lashes. I loved the effect it does to my lashes - we all prime our face before starting our foundation and our makeup routine and we also prime our eyelids to get them prepped up for eyeshadow so why not do that for the lashes to help them look even more voluminous?!

The Ultra Volume Mascara has an adjustable formula that is used in 3 steps for maximum effect, with the first coat separating and defining, the second lifting and curling and the third for ultra-volumized lashes. I love how it makes my lashes look extra long and so voluminous. I am honestly in awe of how amazing this product it - didn't know 3ina makes such amazing mascaras - 10/10 for me!!

That's all for today's post! Make sure to grab your favourite mascara from this collection!

Happy Weekend and I'll talk to you next week!

Love,
Deborah X

Reviewing & Testing Out New Products ft. Rimmel #1

A couple of weeks ago I received some products from Rimmel London Malta and I finally had the chance to try out these beauties. Today I'm here to tell you all about them. Without further ado, let's get started!

The products I received were the following:

  • Wonder'Fully Real Mascara
  • Brow This Way Brow Pomade Fix & Fill
  • Wonder Wing Eyeliner
  • Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eye-Pencil

Wonder'Fully Real Mascara

This mascara is suppose to focus mostly on length & volume. Its reach creamy black formula instantly stretches the lashes and the plastic bristles are perfectly designed for longer and fuller looking lashes. I have tried several Rimmel products before but I was still super excited to try out this new mascara. I loved how black it made my lashes look! I must say that it does lengthen my lashes so much and it does show that because it was easy for me to notice that as my natural lashes are quite short! I liked the volume that it gives too! The only thing that I didn't quite like is the fact that it doesn't really strengthen your lashes - in my case my lashes turned out quite 'spider-like' and clumpy which I don't really like. It can be due to the fact that I apply a generous amount of mascara but I wasn't 100% satisfied. However, I have to say that for the bottom lashes it does an amazing job!

Brow This Way Brow Pomade Fix & Fill

Mine was in the shade 003 Dark. For those of you who have been following the blog for a while know that I ALWAYS use the same products for my eyebrows but I have been trying out new products recently and I must admit this would be one of my favourites. It is so easy to fill in your brows with light strokes and you can really fill in your sparse areas effortlessly. Plus, it's amazing for carrying it with you because you obviously don't need a brush to apply this to your brows!

Wonder Wing Eyeliner

What I liked most in this product is the wing-shaped stamp applicator for symmetrical wings EVERY TIME. I love how black it is and how it allows you to go over the liner to intensify the darkness without erasing what you would have previously done.

Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eye-Pencil

OMG. This was by far my favourite product from all these four. Firstly, mine was in the shade 003 Brown. The shade was beyond perfect! It's this gorgeous golden brown shade and I loved using it for my applying natural looking eyeliner on my water-line. Plus, if you look closely at it you can see the stunning shade of brown - I don't know how to better explain this but it's amazing (it's got a really creamy texture too!) The only thing I didn't quite like in this product is that it is a big of a challenge to sharpen it and it's a pity! But other than that I would definitely buy it again.

Below is a makeup look that I created using all these four products (plus some other products!). The full makeup look that I have on will be up on the blog in the coming weeks.

Thank you once again goes to Clarette from Rimmel as well as Vivian Corporation for sending me over these products!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll see you all soon!

Love,
Deborah X

Fall Essentials + Outfit - Part 2

Hi friends! New week, new post - last Friday I posted Fall Essentials and an outfit appropriate for Autumn and today is time for Part 2 i.e. a couple more essentials and another outfit. If you haven't read Part 1 yet, make sure to check it out here.

Essential #5 - Handbags

These are my current two favourite bags. I wear them around all the time plus their colour is so fall appropriate! The burgundy bag is from Bershka whilst the brown one is from Primark.

Essential #6 - Chunky Scarves

These are EVERYTHING to me during this season. The weather in Malta is somewhat getting colder somewhat still warm so I like to wear a light shirt and then wrap a scarf around my neck just in case it gets colder. When ever I go abroad I always buy a new chunky scarf because I can never have enough of them plus I believe they can make a statement too! The first scarf is from H&M whilst the second one is from Stradivarius!

Essential #7 - Burgundy Nails

In my opinion, having burgundy nails during Autumn is something you need to have! I got mine a couple of days ago and Christina from Femme Beauty did an amazing job with my nails - simple yet so elegant.

Essential #8 - Chunky Cardigan

I've had this cardigan for quite a while now and I love how it adds so much to an outfit. It's a mixture of black, white and grey and it looks gorgeous with pretty much anything you pair it with!

Essential #9 - Rider Boots

I've had this boots for over a year now, and as soon as I saw this at Forever 21 I instantly grabbed it and went to the changing room to try it out. I love the colour, I love that it's flat so it's super comfortable and I love the fact that it looks good with pretty much every pair of jeans I own!

Essential #10 - Black ankle-length boots (with a small heel)

Simple black boots - always a MUST!

Outfit

I know I had featured this outfit a couple of months ago but I just LOVE it so much so I decided to photograph it again at a different location. It's a very simple outfit yet it looks so put together. I simply have on my black button up skirt, a pair of black see-through tights and a cropped maroon sweater. Of course, I threw on my black leather jacket and my black booties!

That's it for today! I'll see you Wednesday for a brand new blogpost xo

Love,
Deborah X

Skirt - Forever 21

Fall Essentials + Outfit - Part 1

Hi loves! It's Friday - and that means the WEEKEND is here!! I'm getting way too excited for Christmas haha (I know, there's still a long way to go!). For today's post I decided to share with you my Fall Essentials as well as an outfit suitable for Fall. I wanted to share with you two outfits and quite a lot of essentials haha! Therefore, I decided to split this post into two - this will be Part 1. Part 2 will go up next Monday so stay tuned for that! I will link all of last year's Fall related posts - make sure to check them out after you're done reading this.

Shall we get started? Let's go!

Essential #1 - Lipstick

From burgundy to lilac, ashy grey and the oh so classic deep red, these are all shades that in my opinion are a MUST for this season.

Shades from left to right:

  • Golden Rose Cosmetics Velvet Matte Lipstick in 14
  • Gerard Cosmetics in Gravity
  • 3ina Chubby Lipstick in 113
  • Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick in 12
  • ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in LAX

Essential #2 and #3 - Scented Candle and Perfume

I love candles during this time of the year. I don't know why but they always get me in the mood to be productive and I really like lighting up one in my room just to get me in the spirit - this one is in the scent Lavender! Also, my favourite perfume at the moment is this one right here. I love its scent plus it was given to me for my birthday so that makes it extra special!

Essential #4 - Eyeshadow Palettes

I had to narrow my choice down to three! In my opinion these are the three must have eyeshadow palettes to create that smokey eye makeup perfect for autumn - from purple to browns and black.

My top 3 palettes are:
- Artdeco Most Wanted Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey
- ColourPop Palette in Saucey (collab with iluvsarahii)
- Morphe 35F Palette

Outfit

For this particular season I like to keep my outfits quite simple - the important thing is that they keep me warm and that they are comfortable. What I like to do is accessorize (normally with chunky scarves).

For this outfit I picked this white cosy sweater and I paired with my favourite pair of blue jeans. I gave you two options as to scarves - one is black and white, chunky and slightly bigger (perfect to wrap around you!) and the other one which is a checked blue and red scarf is shorter and although it does keep you warm I mostly wear it to give the outfit a bit more style. Finally, my favourite pair of boots which are my brown rider boots.

Happy Weekend!

Love,
Deborah X

Colour Series - Cherry Cola ft. Stellar Cosmetics

Hi everyone! How is your week going? Mine is super busy as per usual! Today I will be starting a new 'series' on the blog and this will be the COLOUR SERIES. Basically, I got the idea from one of my favourite youtubers Carli Bybel where she chooses a shade of colour or a theme and centers the makeup look around it.

For today I decided to put one of my makeup purchases to good use - and that is by creating a makeup look for you. I'm no makeup artist but I just love experimenting with new products. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pressed glitter from the new Maltese company Stellar Cosmetics. I chose the shade Cherry Cola which is a red shade. I have no idea why I picked this but I just thought I can create something different with it plus it's perfect for the upcoming season (Yes, I'm already thinking about Christmas!).

Stellar Cosmetics is a Maltese company which has been open for a couple of months now. Their products are vegan and cruelty free - since they're a Maltese company I thought it would be a great idea to support local products. I purchased the pressed glitter with my own money however, the Stellar Cosmetics team were kind enough to send me a discount code that you can use if you decide you want to make a purchase. When you make an order, which can be done either by sending a DM on Instagram or a PM on Facebook, use the code DEB5 and you'll get 5% discount off your total price. Pretty cool right? They have a wide range of pressed and loose glitter as well as highlighters and eyeshadows plus you can also create your own palette! They have recently launched their new website so you can make your order directly from here.

Enough chit chat, let's go straight to the makeup look! I will only be focusing on the eyeshadow bit this time round.

Since this pressed glitter is quite intense I decided to do something subtle so that it is more wearable. I first started off this look by applying a base colour either white or beige. I then started working on my crease and I used the ColourPop Super Shock Shadows using Seeker and Paradox.

What I did was very simple - go back and forth with the two shades in the crease until you get the desired intensity. I first started with Paradox and then moved onto Seeker.

The trick for using pressed glitter is applying glitter glue on the areas you want to apply glitter. It might seem obvious...but it wasn't obvious for me haha! I used the Make-Up Studio one and I found it extremely good.

What I did for this look is first I applied some glitter glue on the outer half of my eyelid as though I'm applying regular liquid eyeliner. Using a flat brush I dipped my brush in the glitter and applied it to the glue. Try and be as careful and as neat as possible because it can get a bit messy and you cannot really blend your work. But overall, I loved how the look turned out - it's really different than the usual makeup looks and I think it's that pop of colour that this makeup look needed.

To finish off the look I used the Golden Rose Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in the shade 14.

I hope you liked this makeup look! Let me know what you think in the comments down below 😄 Make sure you use the discount code DEB5 when purchasing any of the Stellar Cosmetics products. I suggest you give them a try and support local talent, plus they're SUPER affordable. For instance this shade only costs 2.99 euro!!

Make sure you follow Stellar Cosmetics on Instagram as well as on Facebook so that you are updated with the latest and newest shades and products!

I'll see you all very soon 😉

Love,
Deborah X
