Review: New Essence Products!

Hey everyone! It's been AGES since I last talked to you. I was so busy with everything in my life and to be honest with you I wasn't feeling quite inspired to write blogposts & I really wanted to take my time to brainstorm for new content that is different and unique. Finally I am back & I couldn't be more excited about it! I'm going on a mini-trip this Wednesday which I am super excited about so make sure to follow me on Instagram to see where I am heading.

For today's post, I will be reviewing a couple of new products from Essence. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I received a surprise package from them & I couldn't wait to try out the products. I also filmed a quick video with the makeup look I created which you can check out on my Instagram in the BEAUTY highlights. Enough about that now, REVIEW TIME!

Mattifying + Pore Minimizing Primer

Okay, so I tried this out as a base for the makeup look I created in the video. I spent the whole day with my makeup on because I had to run some errands and had to prepare the luggage for my trip and didn't feel like removing it! Through it all my makeup lasted the whole day and didn't get oily at all so I highly recommend this!

#InstaPerfect Liquid Makeup

I have to admit, this shade was a bit too light for my skin tone but nonetheless I still tried working with it because I wanted to see whether it was actually good or not. Loved how easy it was to work with it as well as its consistency of it - I would say it's a medium coverage foundation.

Camouflage+ Concealer

Probably one of my favourite things from this collection. The coverage is amazing and it dries completely matte without creasing. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I Need A Miracle Volumizing & Straightening Mascara

This product serves its purpose as a mascara however it's definitely not my favourite mascaras from this brand. I tried so many other ones (by this same brand) that I feel truly gives you the volumizing effect better than this one does.

Too Glam to Give A Damn Eyeshadow Palette

This palette comes with nine different shades, four of which are shimmery. I must admit they were slightly harder to blend but the pigmentation makes up for it as these are SUPER pigmented and look really nice on the eyes!

Go For the Glow Highlighter Palette

This palette comes with three different shades of highlighters, a bronzy one, a pink-ish one and a peachy one. In the video I opted for the middle shade which is the more pinkish shade but didn't really like it as a highlighter as I ended up looking as if I have blush on my cheek bones so I would definitely opt for the other two shades as highlight.

Melted Chrome Eyeshadow

I have two words for this product: SUPER PIGMENTED!

Colour Boost Liquid Lipstick (in the shade 04 mad matters)

I only managed to try out this product from the lip products. All of the products swatch really really nicely. Mad Matters, which is the one I actually tried is the perfect shade of pinkish-nude and it dries so beautifully as a matte shade PLUS it doesn't leave the lips dry at all!

That's it for today! Make sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with my upcoming trip!

Love,
