London 2018 - Day 3 #Travel

London Vlog for Day 3 is up and you can check it out here! We visited quite a lot of places on our third day and today I am here to share them with all of you!

Notting Hill

Our first stop was Notting Hill. I wanted to visit this place mostly because of all the colourful houses and in my mind I was already picturing all the photos I was going to take there! And in fact, that's what I did - and I am not even guilty! We visited Portobello Road. There are also some really cute antique shops that one should definitely visit!

Camden Town

Our second stop of the day was Camden Town. We visited Camden Market too! The area i.e. the streets is definitely not the best looking for the simple reason that at times it looks abandoned but when we walked to the Market we found that the area there is so pretty. While the range of goods has since widened, with stalls selling books, new and second-hand clothing, and jewellery, the Lock retains its focus as the principal Camden market for crafts. As for the food, there are a lot of tiny stalls selling all types of food and it's even fun just going through them and walking at the market.

We also visited Leicester Square and Convent Garden which are another two very important areas in London. We simply walked around the area, took a couple of photos and as per usual bought some souvenirs.

What's London without some shopping in Oxford Street? Whenever I go to London and visit Oxford Street I always feel overwhelmed just because there are so many shops and things to do that I never know from where to begin!

Finally we finished our London trip by visiting the stunning Tower Bridge at night. It was still so cold on our last day but we still enjoyed it!

And that's it with my London blogposts and vlogs. I will leave a link to all the blogposts and vlogs at the end of the posts so that you can check them out if you missed one of them.

I'll talk to you soon!

Deborah X

London 2018 - Day 2 #Travel

Hi beauties! Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. For today I promised you part 2 of my London trip and here I am writing yet another travel blogpost. Also, as I promised you there is also the vlog of Day 2 which you MUST go watch now!! You can check it out here. If you haven't seen Part 1 of the vlog you can check it out here and if you haven't checked out the detailed blogpost of Day 1 you can also check it out here.

Enough about Day 1 now! It's time for Day 2. This was such an exciting day because the main reason why Roberto and I went to London was because we had tickets for an Imagine Dragons' concert and the concert was on our 2nd day!! Therefore, we didn't have much time to do other touristy things while we were there. The concert was at the O2 arena in North Greenwich so we thought it would be appropriate to to spend the day here and check out some cool spots!

Cutty Sark

The Cutty Sark is a British clipper ship. We only visited the inside of it and since that day was extremely windy the outside part of it was closed but nonetheless it was still so cool to visit! The museum is literally built around the ship. If you want to get the full experience and learn more about the Cutty Sark you can purchase your tickets here and you can better explore the ship!

Emirates Greenwich Peninsula

The Emirates Air Line is a cable car link across the River Thames in London, with sponsorship from the airline Emirates. It comprises a 1-kilometre gondola line that crosses the Thames from the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Victoria Dock, to the west of ExCeL London. It crosses the river Thames at a height of around 90 metres!! Funny story, I was so excited to get on this cable car and get some cool footage of London from the cable car that up until the point where the cab started its route I hadn't quite realized that we were going to be that high up! As I told you earlier, it was so windy that day that the cable started literally rocking from side to side and at one point they had to slow down the journey due to the strong winds. i am one that is slightly scared of heights and believe me guys; when I saw how high we were I had a mini panic attack and I honestly think I fainted for a couple of seconds but I tried as much as possible to enjoy the ride! Looking back though it was so funny haha - I kept telling Roberto to sit exactly next to me otherwise we wouldn't balance the cable car and I was terrified that it would 'tilt' to one side! Yes, I saw too many scary movies!! You can clearly see how scared I was in the vlog as there are certain parts of it that I didn't even notice I was filming too much of the seat in front of me and I was not getting any shots of the surroundings haha! However, I still recommend it to anyone (even if you're scared of heights - it will be over before you know it!) as you can see a really pretty view of Greenwich from up there! You can find more information about this right here.

Imagine Dragons Concert

As I told you before the main reason we were in London was for the sake of this concert. Now to be honest with you I wasn't such a big fan of them because it's actually Roberto's favourite bands but I ended up loving it! I screamed so much and I was actually quite impressed with all the lyrics I knew PLUS they sand my favourite two songs which are: Start Over and Walking the Wire, We made some friends from Cyprus which were really nice (you will also see them in the vlog). Dan who is the main singer of the band gave such an amazing show and what I loved about this band was that even the actual bands i.e. the guitarists ect had their own fans! Normally, only the main singer is the 'popular' one. If you want to see some live footage of the concert, make sure you check them out in the vlog!

That's it from my side for today! I'll talk to you next Sunday for the last part of my London trip together with part 3 of the vlog!

Happy weekend!

Love,
Deborah X

London 2018 - Day 1 #Travel

Hi guys! How is everyone? I'm sitting in my room writing this travel blogpost and it feels so different! I haven't done one of these in a really long time and to tell you the truth I miss them. Therefore, I decided that for 2018 I am going to put more effort into my travel posts PLUS I also posted a travel vlog! Yep, you heard that right, I will be splitting the London vlogs into three days. Please don't be so hard one me - this is actually my first time vlogging and also, I know I am not the best at editing! This is very nerve-wrecking for me because it's the first time I am actually sharing more of my life rather than just outfit or makeup posts so I hope you like it and I would love it if you were to give me some constructive criticism! Obviously, if you want to watch the video you can do so by clicking here.

I will be going through the places we visited on our first day in the order that they were seen in the video and share with you a little bit on each stop.

London Eye

I apologize if not all the photos are clear but as you can see it was snowing during our trip that at times it was even difficult to see where we were heading. We decided that for our first day we were going to visit the popular and famous landmarks of London. The first one was the London Eye. The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. We decided not to go on it and thank god we didn't pre-book the tickets because the visibility that day was crap and we would not have been able to see a thing. However, if you are planning a trip to London and you want to purchase the tickets you can do so here. There are also offers on their site where you can pay for multiple attractions at a cheaper price. I suggest you purchase the tickets online beforehand because you'd be able to get them slightly cheaper (this applies to all other attractions in London!).

Big Ben

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London and is usually extended to refer to both the clock and the clock tower. The tower in which Big Ben is located is officially called the Elizabeth Tower. Unfortunately, while we were there the Big Ben was under construction so we couldn't see anything!

Jubilee Golden Bridge

The Jubilee Golden Bridge is a pedestrian bridge meaning that it can only be accessed by walking. To get a better idea of where the Jubilee Golden Bridge is situated I decided to include a map. The Hungerford Bridge crosses the River Thames in London, and lies between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge. It is a steel railway bridge – sometimes known as the Charing Cross Bridge – flanked by two more recent, cable-stayed, pedestrian bridges that share the railway bridge's foundation piers, and which are named the Golden Jubilee Bridges.

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a public square in the City of WestminsterCentral London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. I had been to London with my parents a couple of years ago in a much warmer weather and I remember I took a photo with the lions at Nelson's Column but this time it was under construction too! Despite the fact that some landmarks were under construction or could barely be seen with all the snow; the view of Trafalgar Square covered in snow was breathtaking! I'll include some photos of when I went to this same square about 3 years ago!

3 years ago at Trafalgar Square!

National Gallery

The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square. The collection in this gallery has over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. Its collection belongs to the government on behalf of the British public, and entry to the main collection is free of charge. It is among the most visited art museums in the world, after the Louvre, the British Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Although I am not a fan of paintings and arts in general, the interior of this National Gallery was exceptional from the paintings that can be found there to the architecture and the style of the gallery itself.

Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster. It was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. I don't know if it's just me but I had so much fun recognizing all the streets and stations that I saw in London that I got to know about through the game of Monopoly, Piccadilly being one of them! We also saw a guy singing in front of Piccadilly Circus whilst playing the guitar. You can find so many of these 'street musicians' in the streets of London. Their voice is always impeccable!!

Buckingham Palace Gardens and Buckingham Palace

The Buckingham Palace Gardens is situated in the back of the Buckingham Palace. This is the garden where the queen hosts her parties! Obviously, while we were there it didn't look like a garden at all but rather a Winter Wonderland as it was covered in snow!

We also visited the Buckingham Palace (from the outside). This is the London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. It is located in the City of Westminster and is usually at the centre when it comes to state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning.

Novello Theatre

This theatre is one of the MANY theatres that there are in the city of Westminster. When I had visited London with my parents I watched The Lion King Musical at the Lyceum Theatre. While in London, it is a MUST to watch one of the many amazing musicals that there are! In the evening of our first night, we opted for Mamma Mia at the Novello Theatre and let me just tell you - I pity the people that were next to me because I sang so loud and so happily during the entire show that I might have annoyed them just a bit hahah! But I mean come on, I know all of the words to the songs in Mamma Mia !! The set was just like the movie and the actors were so talented! If you want to purchase tickets to see the Mamma Mia Musical while in London you can check them out here.

As for our dinner that night, we had some traditional fish and chips from a restaurant close to our hotel and man was it delicious!!

I had also posted my London Lookbook a couple of days ago so if you haven't checked it out, you can do so here!

And that brings us to the end of the our first day in the city of London! Make sure to check our my vlog right here and make sure to tune in again on Friday for Day 2 of London vlog as well as the travel blogpost.

19-03-18

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all having a great start to the day. Since today is a holiday here in Malta I thought I would post this blogpost today since most of you reading this are having a relaxed day with their loved ones.

I thought of sharing with you this outfit today. It's perfect for the current weather here in Malta since in the morning it's beginning to feel very hot. However, if you want to wear this in the evening you can always throw on a jacket or a cardigan and switch the shoes to a more wintery one!

I got this dress from New Look and I love it because it's very casual yet you can style it in a way that makes it look dressier. You can always opt to wear this with a pair of sneakers instead. I paired this with my black court heels for the first look as well as my fushia cross body bag.

For the change of shoes I decided to go for my over-the-knee boots I got recently to make use of it before the weather stops allowing me to do so.

Oh, and yes I did cut my hair short thanks to my amazing hairdresser Alicia at Opulence. I wanted a change in my hair and I am loving this short hair! Make sure you are following me on Instagram & Facebook to stay up to date with the latest updates.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post! And I'll see you all soon with another blogpost.

Love,
Deborah X

London Lookbook 2018

Hey guys! Time for the second lookbook I have prepared for you from my recent trips! This time I will be sharing with you the outfits I wore while I was in London. Huge thank you goes to Roberto for his patience when taking photos for me haha! You don't want to see my photo gallery - I have SO many photos (of the same pose!)

I will be sharing with you three outfits. We spent 4 full days there but most of the time we would go out in the morning and stay out till the evening instead of going back to the hotel and changing to go out again.

Outfit #1

We spent most of our vacation walking (outside in the cold!) but we wanted to get as much as possible from London since we were only there for a couple of days. Our first day was dedicated to visiting the landmarks that are so popular in London (I will talk more about what we did in the travel blogposts). That's why you will see me all bundled up in most of the photos!

Most of my outfits are quite similar to the ones I wore in Amsterdam. With this outfit I paired another white (slightly cropped) sweater that I have with my Hilfiger Jeans, my white sneakers and my grey coat - simple! I also wore my grey knitted headband and my chunky black and white scarf.

Outfit #2

On our second day we did some strolling in the morning and then made our way to the O2 Arena as we attended an Imagine Dragons' concert in Greenwich.

For Day 2 I wore my black and white striped sweater and my ripped black jeans but since it was FREEZING I wore my thermal tights underneath the jeans so that I wouldn't have any skin exposed haha! Oh and as for my fancy gloves I bought those from near the London Eye because I realized that although silly old Deborah would not usually wear gloves (as I like to have my hands free to take photos!), this time she was making an exception ahahha! Also, I put on this black beanie that I recently got from Amsterdam.

Outfit #3

I fell in love with how aesthetically pleasing this part of London is! Although this was not our last day, we spent our last day shopping inside a shopping centre so we wore comfy clothes, making this day my last outfit for this trip that I will be sharing with you!

I wore my blue ripped jeans (which you will not see as it's tucked in the boots), my pink sweater and obviously my grey coat and fancy gloves (and by fancy I mean totally plain!). For shoes this time I opted for my over-the-knee boots that I got from Downunder.

You will find all the details to the outfits at the end of this blogpost so make sure you check them out! Which Lookbook was your favourite, Amsterdam or London? Let me know down below!

Until next time!

Love,
Deborah X

Amsterdam Lookbook 2018

Hi everyone! I'm back in Malta (for a bit!) and I am going to start posting all about my recent trips to Amsterdam & London - I have so much prepared for you from lookbooks, travel guides and also my first vlogs!

Today's post is all about what I wore while in Amsterdam. Recently I have been trying not to over-pack so I try to re-style my outfits in different ways, so that is why you will see certain pieces more than once. Please keep in mind that it was very cold so at times it was a bit difficult to take photos of the outfits without my jacket on plus I was with a huge group so I couldn't stop the group to take photos every single time! That being said, I would like to thank my friends Beverly & Martina for being oh so patient with my constant need to take photos!

All the details of the outfits will be listed at the end of the blogpost. Also, for the outfits I wore to the airport I will be dedicating a whole blogpost just to that!

Outfit #1

This day was very cold and we spent it running around outside (you'll find out where I am here in the travel blogposts!) so I honestly wanted to be comfy and warm. Underneath my outfit I was wearing my thermal tights and thermal vest to keep me warm (did not go anywhere without those babies!). That day I chose to wear my grey sweater which is slightly shorter in the front and slightly longer in the back and this comfy pair of blue jeans. I also wore my grey infinity scarf and my all-time favourite black jacket which I've had for ages! For shoes, I wore my comfy sneakers. Finally, I wore my favourite maroon beanie!

Outfit #2

Okay, so this outfit I can tell you that I wore it on a Saturday night to go clubbing so I didn't really have time to snap a photo of it. At least, I got this photo while in the elevator since I was all on my own haha! Clubbing in Amsterdam has certain dress codes so we couldn't wear any ripped jeans or anything casual so I went with my coral sweater and leather jacket (which I then removed!). For bottoms I wore my favourite pair of Hilfger denim jeans and for shoes (although they are not showing) I wore my usual black booties.

Outfit #3

This was a day trip to the beautiful city of Antwerp, Belgium (that's why there are far more photos now!) I knew it was not going to be AS cold as in Amsterdam (it was still freezing) so I put some extra effort into what I was going to wear. I carried this grey coat with me both in Amsterdam and in London and I fell in love with it. For this outfit I paired my white fluffy cropped sweater and my Hilfiger jeans and my comfy sneakers. Then I wore my black, grey and white scarf (yes, I know I have an obsession with chunky scarves!) and my grey coat. I borrowed Martina's black handbag because mine was too small haha! I also wore my grey knitted headband to keep me even warmer (plus it matched the grey coat perfectly!)

Outfit #4

For my final outfit I wore pretty much the same things as the previous outfit with the exception of switching the sweater to the one I wore when we went clubbing and I actually feel that the coral sweater made the outfit complete because it brought out that pop of colour it needed!

That is it for the Amsterdam Lookbook 2018. If you liked it make sure to leave a 'like' on the post and stay tuned for more blogposts related to my recent travels!

Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Love,
Deborah X
