Urban Style ft. 3ina Utility Collection

Hi everyone! It's Saturday and that can only mean one thing - it's the day we get to relax (at least for most of us!) and in my case try and do all my errands on this day. Tonight I have a 1920s & Halloween themed party and I'm so excited as I've never been to one! It happened to be that the products I will be reviewing today are excellent for any Halloween makeup you might want to do! What are your plans for this weekend? I'd like to know, comment down below!

Today I will be reviewing the 3ina Utility Collection. I received the PR package a couple of weeks ago and I finally decided to sit down quietly and write this blogpost for you. Although I am given these products I still give my 100% honest opinions - as you might have figured out by now! Let me know what you prefer when I review these products, whether you want me to simply review them, create a makeup look with them (where possible) or if you like me to include photos of myself with the products so that you can see how they would look. But for now enough chit-chat, let's just get straight to the blogpost!

Let's start with the first product which to be honest I was 'shocked' to see it as I had no idea what to do with it! This is the Shadow Paint (mine was in white). Basically the consistency is exactly like that of a face paint and you simply apply it all over your lid and it lasts all day. However, when I applied it, it did not completely dry and what I don't like about it is that you cannot really apply eyeshadow over it or blend it as it can get messy (at least when I tried it!). Having said that, I think these shadow paints are the perfect makeup products for Halloween to create your makeup look.

Next up is the Chubby Lipstick in the shade 113. This colour is similar to an ashy-grey with slight dark maroon tones to it. I love this lipstick, it's bold and if you're looking for something to make a statement with, this lipstick is perfect for you. I was thinking of wearing it again for tonight's Halloween party. If not, I will definitely wear it on weekends when I want that little pop of colour to complete my look.

And finally the last product is the Eyeliner Pencil in the shade 613. It's a green pencil eyeliner - you all know how much I love 3ina's liquid and pencil eyeliner so I was so happy to see this in the package. I have been meaning to try out different colours of eyeliner and I loved wearing this one because it's so different and unique. Obviously, it would look best for people with lighter eye colours such as blue or green but I can honestly say that it worked pretty well with my brown eyes haha!

That is it for today's post. Don't forget that this weekend,  it's Pama's 1st Anniversary this weekend so 3ina is giving away a FREE gift when spending €20 or more at 3INA Pama from Sat 28th October till Sun 29th October. Don't miss out!

I'll see you all in my next post!

Love,
Deborah X

Melita Health and Beauty Night Out '17 + Reviewing Goodie Bag Products

Hi everyone! I'm back with another blogpost. Life at the moment is really busy and I'm trying to keep up with everything that is going on in my life at the moment. Enough about me now! About two weeks ago, I was invited to a Beauty Night Out at Melita Health & Beauty. Basically, this is a night out at Melita where bloggers and youtubers get together to chit chat, have a drink or two and nibble on some food!

It was such a lovely night - I met my blogger friends as well as made some new ones!

Melita Health & Beauty sells various brands and products as well as offer various services. For more information you can visit their website. Recently, Melita has launched Wet n Wild and added this brand to the long list of makeup brands that they sell - I can assure you, you will not leave here empty handed! I bought some products from this brand already but I do have to go back and purchase a couple more products from this super affordable brand.

As you can see our goodie bags were filled to the brim so I decided to talk about some of the products that we got!

First things first, can we just talk about how AMAZING this perfume smells?! Christmas is coming up so if you have no idea what to get your special someone or your best friend - this is your cue!!

I've heard about this brand & about how great their eyelashes are - I still haven't tried them out but I'm so excited to see how they look on me because I think they would add so much to your weekend makeup look!

Next up we have these three lip products. First up is the Rimmel Provocalips 16hr Kiss Proof Lip Colour in the shade 310 Little Minx. This is a double sided lip product - one end has a clear lip gloss and the other end has this gorgeous pigmented pink shade. I had tried this before with another shade and I can honestly tell you that that the shade is so pigmented and it stays on your lips for a really long time.

Moving onto the second lip product I got, we have the Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade 12. I love this brand - they have really affordable prices and high quality products and this lipstick is simply amazing!

Finally, I got the Max Factor Honey Lacquer in the shade Regale Burgundy. I love the colour of this lipstick and how perfect it is for autumn. However, I don't really like the formula of it because I'm not into lip lacquers plus it's glossy so I try to steer away from them; but for anyone who loves lacquers I recommend this product because it's super long lasting.

Next up we have another three products. The first two products - La Roche Posay Mascara Volume & The Estee Lauder Universal Perfecting Primer, I have not tried out yet but given the amazing brand that I know they are I'm 100% confident that both brands will not let me down! Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram so that I'll keep you updated with my thoughts once I try them out. Finally, I got the Clinique Airbrush Concealer. I had done a blogpost a couple of months ago using a concealer of another high-end brand but with this product I was in awe with how well this product covers your dark areas and blemishes plus it also brightens anywhere you apply this - so I was so pumped when I saw this concealer in my goodie bag!

All of these goodies came in this A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E beauty bag which I am currently using to store my new makeup goodies.

Once again I'd like to say a huge thank you to Daniela & Jennifer for inviting me and hosting such a great night! I suggest you go check out their new Wet n Wild stand and if you have any questions feel free to send them a message on their Facebook Page and they'd be more than happy to help!

I'll talk to you in my next post!

Love,
Deborah X

Collective Makeup Haul

Hi loves! It's finally Friday and it's finally the weekend YAS! I can finally get out of the house now because the fever is gone (thank you very much)!

For today's post I decided to share with you the new beauty products I got these last couple of months mainly on my two recent trips; Wales (last July) and Madrid (last September). Yes, I did purchase all this with my own money and YES, I know I have a problem with excessive makeup shopping - I'm trying to fix that!

Disclaimer: This post is in NO way a place where I get to brag about the new makeup I got. I worked really hard to be able to afford these. This is just a post so that any of you who might be interested in purchasing any of these products will know if they are worth the price or not.

1. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

I have been wanting this palette ever since it was released about 7 months ago but since this palette is a bit pricey I wanted to make sure that it is really worth buying. I own the Chocolate Palette and I love how pigmented the shadows are and how easy it is to blend them. As soon as you open the palette, this amazing peach scent comes out - this was no surprise as the previous palette that I owned by this brand had such a delicious (yes, that's what I mean) chocolate-y scent! As for the colours I haven't had much time to play with them although I did come up with a very simply makeup look which included the pinks of this palette. Let me know if you'd like to see that! I will give you more updates about the palette as I'll have more time to try it out.

2. Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

THIS IS JUST AMAZING!! I had to write that in caps haha! Funny story is that for those of you who follow my blog know that I recently had a giveaway with four other bloggers where you could win this palette and I was the one in charge to purchase it. You can imagine how crushed I was feeling as this beauty arrived home...it was a palette I ordered for someone else...and a palette I wanted so badly! I'm not exaggerating...I'm just really into makeup haha! Anyways, I finally got my hands on my own palette alongside the previous palette from Sephora in Madrid.

The colours are just AMAZING. Just look at the gradient effect - they all scream FALL! I love how pretty the shades look on my lids, how pigmented they are and how easy it is to work with them. I actually have a makeup look prepared for you using this palette so stay tuned for that! All in all, must-have palette for a makeup lover like myself or anyone who wants to invest in a really high quality eye shadow palette.

3. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

For those of you who know me, know that I feel that Urban Decay's palettes are a bit over-rated and a bit too pricey as well as being too similar to each other (except the Heat palette!). However, I had been eyeing the Naked 3 for a while for the simple reason that it has such gorgeous rose shades that I couldn't help wanting it. Lucky for me, my cousin Mattea whom I've mentioned before in the blog got me this palette for my birthday (She lives in Switzerland so she had to wait till she comes to Malta in Summer to give it to me!).

The only thing I don't like about this palette is the brush it comes with for the simple reason that I don't like the liner side of the brush and I'm so glad they fixed that in the Heat Palette. Nonetheless, I carry this palette with me when I travel and in fact I took this with me to Madrid and I also featured it in a post on what makeup products to take when you want to pack lightly for a short trip.

These next couple of products I got from Superdrug while I was in Wales.

4. MUA Makeup Academy Palette in the shade Fire Vixen

I found out about this brand through Kezia from KezziesCorner when I watched one of her videos testing out this brand's products and one time I was actually talking to her and we brought the subject of this brand (it's no surprise that Kezia and I talk about makeup 24/7!) and she told me that their eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks are really good and this brand has some really affordable makeup so when I was at Superdrug I decided to try them out. I did purchase a matte liquid lipstick but I forgot to include it in this post - I haven't tried it out yet so I will let you know about it once I do. As for the palette I have nothing but good words to say about it. It has 15 shades, it's pigmented and they're quite good when it comes to blending them. I believe this palette was about £6-8 which is phenomenal! The only thing I had problems with and it can actually be seen in the photo; is that when I tried to wet my brush with setting spray to make the eyeshadow colour even more pigmented I kind of ruined the shade and it applied wore that if I would have applied it without any setting spray. In fact you can see the kind-of-ruined-shade in the 2nd row, last shade!

5. L'Oreal Superstar Liquid Eyeliner

I had been wanting to find a new liquid liner to try out as my 3ina one was almost finished and my brother's girlfriend had mentioned to me that the L'Oreal liquid liners are extremely good so I simply grabbed one from the shelf an tried this baby out. I love this so much. It is a pen and not a brush which I prefer and the pen allows you to do your eyeliner steadily plus it's super black which is always a bonus!

6. Makeup Revolution Blush Palette

I don't know if this palette has a name to it but if it does it's probably Blush Queen because that's the only name there is at the back of it haha! Again, Makeup Revolution is a brand that I have never tried out before and I ended up loving this palette. It has 8 gorgeous shades that I use for blush and I also sometimes use the 1st and last shade from the 1st row as a subtle highlight on my cheek bones as they have this natural glow.

7. Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara

I've talked and raved about this product in so many of my posts that I feel I have now bored you with that but yeah, this is is my holy grail mascara!

8. Maybelline Colossal Mascara Go Extreme!

I haven't actually tried this mascara yet but if it's anything like the Rocket Volume one, than I already know I love it! I will let you know about it once I try it out.

9. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I haven't tried out this foundation either because I had some many foundations that I wanted to finish those first before I test out a new one but I will definitely let you know my thoughts about it once I test it on my skin!

That's it for my beauty haul, I hope you liked it! Happy weekend loves 😘

Love,
Deborah X

Review: Testing Out Ziaja Skincare Products ft. Beauty Care

Hi friends! Hope you all had a great start to the week! I'm currently sick but nonetheless, I still wanted to get this post up for you.

A couple of weeks ago Andrea from Beauty Care reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to try some products from the brand Ziaja. I obviously said YES because I love trying out and testing new products!

Ziaja is a Polish producer of pharmaceuticals and high quality cosmetics based on natural ingredients whilst Beauty Care is a new emerging company based in Malta which imports skin care and makeup.

After about two weeks trying out these products I am here to tell you my thoughts on the products after I've tried them on myself for two weeks. Let's get started, shall we?!

These are the products that I received:

  • Manuka Tree Purifying Astrigent Face Toner (for oily and combination skin)
  • Manuka Tree Purifying Gently Exfoliating Night Cream with Almond Acid (for oily and combination skin)
  • Hand Cream Cashmere Proteins Shea Butter
  • Manuka Tree Purifying Deeply Cleansing Peeling Paste (for oily and combination skin)
  • Manuka Tree Purifying Normalising Day Cream (for oily and combination skin)

Manuka Tree Purifying Astrigent Face Toner

This is probably my favourite product out of all of them! It is supposed to ''cleanse the skin and completes make-up removal, reduces dilated pores, contains organic acids with gently exfoliating activity, helps soothe acne lesions and prepares the skin for further cosmetic treatments.'' I found this product to be so amazing and I have been using it to remove my makeup especially to eliminate using the makeup wipes because I know that they're not good at all for the skin. It is perfect for when you have a full eye makeup look because it removes everything!

Manuka Tree Purifying Normalising Day Cream

This product contains SPF 10 - I love moisturizers that contain some form of protection from the sun. Being that Malta's weather is hot and mostly sunny throughout the year I like wearing moisturizers that can protect my skin. I apply this product in the morning to finish off my skin care routine and I love how soft my skin feels after I've used this product.

Manuka Tree Purifying Gently Exfoliating Night Cream with Almond Acid

I tried this product to finish off my skin care routine right before I go to bed. It feels so light on your skin and it makes you feel fresh. It also did brighten up my under-eye dark circles that I was having due to lack of sleep and being sick! Highly recommend this!

Manuka Tree Purifying Deeply Cleansing Peeling Paste

I found this product extremely good for my skin and I have been using it ever since I received this product!! This is a white paste which I applied all over my face. It really diminished my skin imperfections and what I loved most about it is that it prevents blackheads formation. Although I seriously need a facial, I still saw a difference especially on my nose area where most of my blackheads are and it also helped to reduce the 'harsh' skin on my nose that I usually have due to blackheads.

Hand Cream Cashmere Proteins Shea Butter

Excuse my terrible broken nail in this photo! Okay, so can we take a second to talk about the smell of this product? It honestly smells like you just got out of the ocean and it smells so good! I usually apply this as I'm in my bed before I go to sleep to have the maximum effect on my skin - I keep it on my bedside table next to me. Lately, my hands have been feeling harsh and dry especially my knuckles so I have been applying this. My hands feel so smooth and moisturized after I use this.

And that brings us towards the end of this review. I'd like to thank Andrea from Beauty Care once again for sending me these products. If you are interested in purchasing any of the mentioned products as well as others you can visit their online website or else message Beauty Care directly if you have any questions about the brand.

I'll see you all next time!

Love,
Deborah X

Blush Pink & Lace-Up Tops

Hi beauties! I have a new post prepared for you today! I'm sharing with you this outfit that I have been loving lately!! I wore this to an event I had last week (full post on the event will go up very soon!). Let's just dive into it!

Recently, I bought this lace-up top while I was in Madrid and I had been brainstorming how I could style it for quite a while! Then I remembered that sometimes when styling outfits, simplicity is key!

I wore this blush pink lace-up top (I have been loving this colour lately) and I paired it with a simple high-waisted black ripped jeans. To dress up a bit this outfit, I wore my black booties - for those of you who have been following this blog for quite a while know that I wear these pair ALL THE TIME! I threw on this black and white scarf I got from Madrid to make the outfit look more cosy. To finish off the look I wore my newest bag which is this brown one right here, it's a bit different because it's not your usual handbag but I love it and because of its shape it makes it so much bigger!

The colder season is upon us and so I wanted to make sure that I am ready for it! I think that this outfit is perfect for the colder days when we're still trying to adjust to the change in weather.

I'll see you all very soon!

Love,
Deborah X

Review: All Eyes on You (Eyes Collection) ft. 3ina

Hi everyone! Happy weekend - what do you have planned for today?!

Today I'm back with another post - another collection has been launched at 3ina a couple of weeks ago and I'm here to tell you all about it. Shall we get started?!

The package that I received thanks to 3ina Malta consisted of 5 products:
1. The Gel Eyeliner in no. 801
2. The Eyebrow Kit in no. 403
3. The Eye Gloss in no. 503
4. The Eyeshadow Palette in no. 102
5. The Duo Eyeshadow in no. 607

The Gel Eyeliner

I have tried gel eyeliners before but not of this brand. I loved the consistency of the 3ina gel eyeliner and it's so easy to work with it. I especially love the dark brown shade because I thought it would be perfect for when I want to do that extra effort to look my best but not over do it. Sometimes wearing black gel eyeliner in the morning may be too much but this dark brown shade looks so natural! Two thumbs up for me!

The Eyebrow Kit

This mini kit comes with everything you need to shape and define your brows. It includes two brushes to apply the product with, one of them is slightly more angled. It also includes a powder and a gel product to fill in your brows depending on what you prefer to use. Finally, it comes with a pair of tweezers! I tried both the gel and the powder and I love how they make your eyebrows look full and clean. The gel is so easy to use especially to better define your eyebrow shape.

The Eye Gloss

I have to be honest with you, I was a bit sceptical to try out this product because I had never heard of anything like it or seen anything like it! Basically it comes with an applicator (similar to that of a liquid concealer) and you simply apply it on top of your eyeshadow to make it glossy. Mine had a burgundy tone to it but obviously you may choose other colours from this collection. I love the idea behind it because it's so innovative, new and different; however, I found it quite sticky after I finished using it and I didn't like the idea that everytime I blink I feel this stickiness on my eyelids.

The Eyeshadow Palette

This palette comes with 6 pigmented colours and a small mirror. The colours of this palette are quite unique so for those of you who do not like to experiment with colours, you have to be a bit careful on how to use these colours. I tried using the purple shades (the 2nd & 3rd) as well as the yellow shade and I loved how easy they are to apply them on my lids and how easy it is to blend them.

The Duo Eyeshadow

The shade I received is obviously a shade that is not so easy to use, at least in my case because I don't often wear green eyeshadow (or at least include it in my eye look). Nevertheless, I loved the product, the consistency and the overall look that it gives you.

That's it for today's post! I have a lot of reviews, event posts and new material coming your way so make sure you have 'liked' Distorted Priorities on Facebook so that you don't miss anything new!

Happy weekend!

Love,
Deborah X
