April Favourites

Hi ladies! Hope you're having a great day! Another month is over (summer is quickly approaching!!) and that means that another Favourties blogpost will be up. Therefore today I will be sharing with you the products I have been using quite often during the month of April with regards to beauty products. Let's get started πŸ˜„

So to put you in the picture I am currently FORCING myself NOT to buy any more makeup because I have waayyy to many foundations, mascaras and palettes than an average human being (this will end as soon as summer begins haha!). Therefore, when the mascaras that I used to use non-stop finished I had to turn my attention towards other mascaras that were sitting in my makeup collection, particularly the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Reloaded Mascara as well as the Max Factor False Lash Epic. I got both of these products at a bloggers event way back in November but I never actually tried them until recently. I love the Rimmel one because it gives your lashes such volume and blackness to your lashes plus it makes them look super long. I love the classic mascara wand it has and it makes it so much easier for me to apply mascara to my top lashes.

For both my top and bottom lashes I also have been using the Max Factor one. To be quite honest with you, I didn't like the shape of the wand at first because it does come with a curved-balled tip. However, when I actually tried it I realized that it's actually helpful when it comes to applying your mascara to your bottom lashes plus I also love the volume it gives your lashes.

Another product I have been using lately is the Rimmel BB Cream with SPF 25. I have been super lazy to go for the full coverage foundation so I was reaching for this quite a lot. Also, it gives you more of an I-don't-have-foundation-look so it's perfect for when I have university or work!

Another favourite that sometimes I feel I use waaay too much is the 3ina Pen Eyeliner. I love pens when it comes to eyeliners because then my hand would be steadier when applying the liner! All time favourite 10/10 πŸ’œ

The last beauty related product is the Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade Bittersweet. It's always been a favourite of mine but lately I have been trying to switch from the usual nude lips I like to wear, and trying to wear more pinkish shades! This is the perfect dark-pink kind of shade πŸ’“

November Favourites #Blogmas

I can't believe we're down to the last month of 2016 😯 Time flew by and before we know it we are soon going to celebrate Christmas and NYE.

Today is the 1st day of #blogmas where we will be posting a blog post everyday from today up until Christmas Day - so get ready for your timeline to be filled with festive themed posts!! We have so much prepared for you and we hope that you like all of our blogmas posts. December 1st is here which means it is finally acceptable to start playing Christmas songs and put up the Christmas tree!!

In today's post I am going to share with you my November favourites ranging from makeup, clothing pieces, music and my favourite candle scent! Shall we get started?

Makeup

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Lipstick in Ecstasy

I wore this lipstick a couple of times and I love its colour. I thought it wasn't going to suit me but I got so many compliments about it! It's a purple mauve type of colour. They stay on great when drinking, however they do wear off when you are eating. All in all, I love it !

Sleek Matte Me in Velvet Slipper

As you might have noticed I have a slight obsession on matte lipsticks..but that's okay! Matte lipsticks have become the trend at the moment and I'm totally head over heels over so many matte liquid lipsticks that are available. This one in particular is one of my new favourites. It's a gorgeous deep plum colour (you can see the purple-mauve-plum obsession going on) and it is a slightly darker colour than usual which I love.

3ina Liquid Eyeliner

I cannot tell you for how long I've been looking for a liquid eyeliner that will stay on during the night without smudging and without loosing its dark black colour. Finally I have found THE ONE and I couldn't be happier : 3ina - The Pen Eyeliner.

Make Up Studio Colour Pigment in Copper

I was a bit skeptical about this product. I was not sure how it was going to turn out but I absolutely loved the result. Basically this is a colour pigment where I applied the loose glitter on a damp brush that I sprayed with a setting spray to help with the colour's pigmentation. It's also very easy to blend in with the rest of the eyeshadow colours so it does not look like a patch in the middle of your eyes with tonnes of glitters!

Music

This past month I have been stuck in traffic wherever I go so I've got quite a list! I also re-listened some oldies πŸ˜„

Fashion

Brown Rider Boots

I wore these boots a couple of times and I love them because firstly they do not have any heels so they are very comfortable to walk in especially if you'll be out all day plus the colour is so pretty ❤ Also, it is quite a 'change' for me as I usually go for ankle-length booties so I thought it would be great to switch things up a bit.

Maroon & Blue Scarf

I have been OBSESSED with this scarf. It has such beautiful autumn-winterish colours and it keeps me so warm it's almost like having a blanket wrapped up around your neck!! I had worn it with a simple white sweater and it really compliments the brown rider boots so well!

Maroon & Black Scarf

I wore this outfit, particularly the chunky scarf (which also feels like a blanket around your neck!) for a comedy show that I went to with my friends and it kept me so warm especially since I was wearing a summerish shirt underneath it because I knew that I would eventually remove the scarf and jacket as it will be super hot inside. Expect an outfit post on this outfit very soon πŸ˜‰

Candles in Apple-Cinnamon

I have been loving this scent at the moment! I'd be so looking forward to come home after university; take a hot bath, wear my zebra onesie (yes, I do wear those things!) and light up this candle ❤

And that is all for today's post! Hope you enjoyed it 😁 Don't forget we have a giveaway going on at the moment which ends on the 9th of December at 16:00. For more details on how to enter you can click here.

I'll see you tomorrow for another #blogmas post πŸ’•
With love,

October Favourites

Helloooo Beautiful people of the world ❤

October is officially over! WHAAAT!? Nope I am not okay with this, time is flying away so fast..just 2 months left until we start a new year! However, the end of a month brings us to another favourites post - so that's a plus!

I have all sorts of favourites for this month, so let's jump into our first category :

Makeup:

The first item on this list has to be the Sleek Cream Contour Pallette. As you may know from this post I bought it this month and I have used it every time I did my makeup. It gives off the most subtle contour and its texture makes my face so soft (don't ask me how because I really cannot fathom this!) , I just loooove it! Will absolutely recommend this to anyone especially if its your first time dabbling with contouring like me as its really easy to blend and its hard to get it wrong with this pallette.

I cannot not mention this next item as I have been using it non-stop both because its the only highlighters I have and also because it's shadows are to die for! This is none other that the Carli Bybel 10 Colour Eyeshadow and 4 Colour Highlighter Pallette. In terms of eyesahdows it ticked all the boxes with me. It contains purple and brown matte tones and then to top it all off it has the perfect shimmer colours such as gold and rose gold. Moreover, it has 4 highlighters to suit all skin colours and these could also be used as eyeshadow - obviously! You can find a more detailed review of this pallette here.

One other eyeshadow that I've been using continously this past month is the ColourPop Shock Shadow in shade Bandit. It is the PERFECT red-brown shade for this time of year and also super pigmented.

Lip wise I have been loving dark brown shades and alternating between ColourPop Matte Liquid Lipstick in shade Rooch and BHCosmetics Liquid Lipstick in shade Lust.

Another item which I have been loving this month and which will probably be a staple product in my makeup collection as it changed my eyeshadow game is this Tapered Blending Brush. It is the perfect brush to apply shadow into the crease as you apply it and blend it out all at once creating a flawless crease. This literally changed my eyeshadow game as I used to spend long minutes trying to get my crease on point and this just does the job in a couple of seconds. Mine is from the set of BHCosmetics 15pc Rose Gold Brush Set, however I believe that any good brush of this kind will do the job.

Books:

This month I've jumped onto The Hunger Games hype - early right? I know I'm sooo late to get into this hype but I've never liked the idea of The Hunger Games as I just thought of them as a bunch of people fighting off each other in an arena. I reculantly started reading them after I saw both my mother and my brother getting lost reading them and hearing them rave about them. Once I started the first book I was hooked and now I just loove them. And please for the sake of it just don't compare them to Harry Potter - yes both are 'fantasy' books but there is a whole ocean seperating them so please just stop comparing them.

Music:

This is probably gonna be the longest list ever, I apologise I was stuck in traffic multiple times this past month so I've been having performance sessions with quite a load of songs πŸ™ˆ.

  1. Sia - The Greatest
  2. Bruno Mars - 24K Magic
  3. The Chainsmokers - Closer
  4. Ariana Grande - Side to Side ft. Nicki Minaj
  5. Andy Grammer - Fresh Eyes
  6. Hailee Steinfield , Grey - Starving ft. Zedd
  7. Alessia Cara - Scars to your Beautiful
  8. James Arthur - Say you won't let go
  9. Niall Horan -This Town
  10. Major Lazer - Cold Water ft.Justin Bieber & MO
  11. Anne-Marie - Alarm
  12. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
  13. Twenty One Pilots - Heathens
  14. Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own
If I had to pick my ultimate favourites they would have to be Sia - The Greatest and Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own. I've practically hit the repeat button on these two songs too many times! I practically listen to music all day long this is why I have so many favourites - headphones in, world out ❤

YouTubers :

This month I've obsessed over the SacconeJolys - if you haven't heard about them they are a family of 4 and expecting another baby ❤.Their kids are adoraaable and I love just tuning in before I sleep to watch their daily vlog. I have been following them for quite a while now and all I can say is that they helped me when I was going through difficult times - just watching their videos somehow makes me happier. If you are going through something and need something to give you that shed of happiness head over to their channel - this is their pregnancy reveal vlog!

A new YouTuber I've started following is KathleenLights. She is a makeup goddess and just has a very lovable character. If you are interested in makeup in general go check her out - this is one of her makeup looks.

I've also been loving watching dancing videos - might just say obsessed over some as well. Along the way of jumping from one video to the other I stumbled upon two amazing human beings. Kyle Hanagami is currently working with JLO and creates the MOST amazing choreographs ever ! Just take a look at these and you'll know what I mean : Cold Water - Major Lazor Choreography and The Greatest - Sia Choreography. I watched these two videos more than I can admit.

Then through Kyle I got to know about Jade Chynoweth and she is an absolute bomb. She kills every choreography and has emotion oozing out of her while she performs. Take a look at these and get ready to be her fan : Beyonce - Sweet Dreams ,  Never Be LIke You (Jade starts at 2:03) and Live Performance of Weight in Gold.

This ends my favourites for this month! I hope that you enjoyed reading this post as much as I did writing it πŸ˜„ I wish you all a great weekend ❤.

Lots of love,

September Favourites

Happy Monday beauties!😘

So with the month of September drawing to an end I decided to share with you my favourite things that I used or wore non-stop in the month of September from makeup, clothing to music. You'll find all the links to the products (if you wish to buy them) and links to the music (if you wish to hear them!) down below. Let's not waste time and get into today's post! Hope you enjoy it 😁.

Beauty and Makeup
1. ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip - 'Chi'
A couple of months ago I bought a few lipsticks (and by a few I mean A LOT) by ColourPop which is probably my favourite lipstick brand right now (I will insert a photo of the package below). I found out about this brand while watching my favourite youtuber 'Jeanine Amapola' swatch these beauties ❤. 'Chi' is a brownish-nude colour and it's also matte which I love. However when you apply it, it does not dry too quickly so it gives you time to fix it and apply it however you want. I also bought the matching lipliner which is not expensive at all. I bought them using Malta Post's Send on as they did not ship to Malta, but, GOOD NEWS, ColourPop now does international shipping! You're welcome πŸ˜‰.

2. Kiko Pearly Eye Base Primer
I bought this together with the Kiko Face Primer (which will be my next favourite) while I was in Cologne (Germany) a couple of weeks ago. They had 70% off almost half of their store so you can imagine my happiness once I entered the store! What I loved about this product is that apart from being a great eye primer, it does not crease my eyeshadow and it really highlights your eyelids.

3. Kiko City Filter Sunscreen (FacePrimer)
This product has SPF 50 plus it is also a great primer for using it before applying your foundation or concealer - highly recommend.

4. Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer
I've tried contouring a couple of times and although I'm not perfect - I got the gist of it! I started using the NYX Contouring and Highlighting palette and I love it. However, I received the Hoola Bronzer as a birthday present a couple of months ago and I've heard so many great things about it that I was really excited to try it out. I love it particularly because it is not of thick consistency or hard to shape with and therefore it allows you to use your brush properly to shape your face to give it more definition.

5. Benefit Roller Lash Curling Mascara
I got this product as part of my birthday present from my friends too. I always knew it was a good mascara but I never thought it was this good. To begin with the brush is quite small compared to other mascara wands. This will help when applying mascara especially to the lower lashes as you can easily apply a coat of mascara to each individual lash without any clumps. Also, with just two coats (I normally apply an average of 4-5 coats to give my lashes more of a fuller look) it gives your lashes a lot of volume and length as if you are wearing fake lashes when in fact you're not!

Clothing
6. Black and White Leotard
I love this piece. You can wear it with shorts or skirts or even with high waisted jeans especially now that the colder days are soon upon us. And the best part is that it won't even show that you're wearing a leotard!
I wore my leotard when I was in Gozo last week. I paired it with a black skirt and white converse.

Music
7. Let Me Love You - DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber
8. Perfect Strangers - Jonas Blue ft. JP Cooper
9. Closer - The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey
10. Hey - Afrojack
11. Gone - Afrojack
12. Say You Won't Let Go - James Arthur

That is all for today! Hope you enjoyed today's post and we'll see you on Wednesday for Part 2 of the Travel Series 😊. Links of the makeup and music mentioned above are listed below.

Take care,
