Pampering Night - My Routine

And finally another week is here! Is it just me that I'm already tired of the hectic schedules and want my Christmas Holidays soooo badly? 😞 If you're with me on this one - I got you girl!

Today I decided to share with you my mini-routine for when I want to pamper myself a little bit. Without further ado - let's get on with today's post 😁

I like to do this routine either on a Friday night or on a Sunday night to relax and de-stress. I first start by running a hot bath and throw in a fancy bath bomb. Now recently a family member of mine went to the U.K. and bought me two bath bombs from Lush. Now if you feel that Lush is slightly overpriced you can find cheaper ones that are not branded even in Malta (so you'll avoid shipping costs). While I let the bath bomb do its thing I like to use my Dermalogica Face Scrub to scrub away dull skin and deep clean pores. The purifying clay helps soak up excess oils and debris.
Now I use all of these products as requested by my beautician so it's important that you read the labels on the products well before using them to see that they match your skin type or else consult your beautician. Even if I have makeup on, I'll apply the scrub all over my face and then remove the makeup afterwords.

Then I get into the hot bath and just relax and enjoy some alone time. I either like to light a scented candle to help me with the relaxation process while listening to some relaxing music. I usually take about half an hour contemplating about my life and about my hectic schedule and how the heck I'm going to manage to do what I did this week all over again the coming week; before I realize that my fingertips look those of an old woman and decide that it's time to get out of the bath!! By now I would have rinsed the scrub off my face and when I look in the mirror I usually see myself with 2 black eyes because of the mascara and eyeliner that I was too lazy to remove before I got in the bath! But it's okay because this is a pampering night so we're going to take care of that very soon. I like to put some coconut body milk which I bought from The Body Shop which has an amazing scent. Once I dry up and wear my comfy pj's I like to use a makeup wipe to remove all the residue and excess makeup that will be on my face.

To ensure that I removed all of my foundation, concealer, mascara and anything else I like to use the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water which I recently purchased from Melita Health and Beauty. I apply some of the micellar water onto a cotton pad and move it around my face. This will gently cleanse the skin while removing makeup. It will leave your skin feeling hydrated and clean. Afterwords, I use my Dermalogica Face Wash which I use for clearing away dead skin cells, dirt and excess oils that clog pores and cause breakouts. Then I like to apply the toner to control excess oils and eliminate breakouts and moisturizer to control oily areas while giving my face a matte finish of the same brand. I have an oily T-Zone and I have found these products extremely helpful and useful.

A new product that I tried on a couple of days ago (which I got in my goodie bag at the Melita Bloggers Event) is this Vichy's smoothing and illuminating cream. It is a moizturizer that is designed to hydrate skin and make it appear smoother. My face felt so smooth after I've applied this!! I like to switch things up by sometimes using the Dermalogica moisturizer and sometimes using the Vichy one. What I like to do then is watch a Zac Efron or Channing Tatum and call it a day!

And that brings us to the end of our post πŸ’œ. I hope that this was somewhat useful for your next pampering night. Have a great weekend and we'll see you very soon!

Lots of Love,

3ina Haul

Hi loves!

It's time for another haul 😁 So a couple of weeks ago I went to to the Students' Lockdown. For those of you who don't know what it is - basically 'The Point' (shopping mall in Sliema) stays open late (from 19:30-22:00) and offer amazing discounts to students. I have been wanting to try out some of 3ina's products ever since it opened in Malta a couple of months ago because I've heard so many good things about the brand. During the night, 3ina had an ongoing offer of buying 2 products and getting a 3rd one (the cheapest) for free apart from other products that were on sale.

3ina offers a variety of makeup brushes, eye shadows, eyeliners and mascaras, lipsticks, makeup removers and other makeup related products. I picked 4 items in total. Let me know in the comments below if you'd like me to do a review on any of these products. Let's go!

The first thing I picked is a precision brush (The Precision Brush - 101). I've been meaning to buy this brush for quite a while now. This brush will help when applying eye shadow for applying shades on the outer part of your eyelid for a more intense and defined look. You can also use it to apply shadow under your eyes or even for the inner part of the eyelid with a shadow that will brighten your eye. Its texture is amazing and it picks up a lot of eyeshadow which I love!

The second thing I purchased is this stunning cream eye shadow. This will be my first cream eye shadow of any brand. Mine is in the shade 313. The colour is simply beautiful - a bronzy-brown shadow. It's supposed to stay on all day and it's also waterproof. Another good thing about cream eye shadows is that you can apply it with your fingers and do not need any brushes. It is highly pigmented and the colour is even more stunning once you put it on your eyelids.

The third thing I chose is a simple black eyeliner. I ran out of liquid eyeliner and I'm always switching brands for this kind of product because I can never seem to find the right one; it either smudges on my brow-bone or otherwise the black is not as intense as I thought it would be. I've tried it a couple of times and I love it so much - the black is really intense which I love about this particular eyeliner and it will stay looking fresh for hours.

And finally I picked this lipstick. I've recently had a bit of an obsession over lipsticks when before I didn't even bother applying lip balm let alone lipstick! I picked the shade 413. It is a light pink matte lipstick which I intend on wearing with a dark eye look such as a smokey eye or plain and simple makeup look.

That's it for my 3ina haul! Let me know what your favourite products from this brand are and if you are interested in purchasing any of their beautiful products.

Travel Series #2-Switzerland-Part 1

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing great πŸ˜† I'm super tired and I can't wait for the weekend but come on, we can do this just 2 more days!! Now that the first travel series is over, today we will begin the 2nd series. These coming weeks we will be exploring a tiny inch of a beautiful country - Switzerland ❤

I've been wanting to visit my cousin (who lives in Switzerland) on my own for quite some time but I was always afraid to take the step. Finally, last March I managed to tick this off my bucket list. She took me to some very beautiful places which I am going to talk more about in the coming weeks. Let's get started!

In today's post I'm going to talk to you about beautiful and spectacular Montreux. It is located on Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps.

The main square of the town, Place du MarchΓ©, features a statue of Freddie Mercury facing Lake Geneva. It stands almost 10 feet (3 metres) high overlooking Lake Geneva and was unveiled on 25 November 1996 by Mercury's father. Beginning in 2003 fans from around the world have gathered in Switzerland annually to pay tribute to the singer as part of the "Freddie Mercury Montreux Memorial Day" on the first weekend of September.

The views you're about to see are simply spectacular. I still get shivers every time I see these views. This place is perfect for strolls and for just taking time on your own to take in all this natural beauty. Right across the lake you can see the Alps. I don't know if it's just me but due to the fact that we don't have any of this in Malta, I feel like a kid in a candy store when I see mountains and lakes. Let's look at some photos I took to get a better look of what you could see if you managed to go to Montreux - I'd like to apologize in advance for the photos where I am in the way, I'm a poser I know πŸ™ˆ

After these breath-taking views my cousin decided to take me on top of the Alps. And believe me it was the best decision ever! We took a specific train that only goes to the top of the mountain which takes approximately an hour. We bought the tickets from Montreux. The views that we got to see whilst we were going up the mountains were exceptional! Apart from the fact that we were NOT wearing appropriately as it was a spontaneous decision - so just ignore the fact that I was wearing ripped jeans, no gloves and a pair of booties that have heels- it was amazing. Yes, we froze our butts off but it was one of the best views I ever saw and I honestly had to take a couple of minutes to take it all in.

Also, there was a small cafeteria (yes, literally on top of the Alps haha) which sold amazing hot chocolate and it was what we needed after that freezing weather. I know today's post contains a lot of photos but I feel like these photos speak for themselves. You'll get to see how happy I was to get on that mountain!

Yep, that's me trying to take a photo in the middle of the snow!

And this brings us to the end of the 1st part of this series! I hope you enjoyed it and we'll see you next Friday!

Melita Health and Beauty 45th Birthday - Bloggers Event

Hi everyone πŸ˜„ I know you're probably wondering why we are posting this 2nd blog post on the same day. This is because we wanted to treat you to 2 posts today to thank you for the amazing support we've been receiving from you guys ❤

So last Tuesday we went to Melita Health and Beauty 45th Birthday Party which was a Bloggers Event. As soon as we entered the shop we were greeted by the lovely Jennifer who was the one who sent us the invites and she handed us a glass of wine each - which by the way I have to say was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It was honestly what we needed because both of us were extremely nervous as this was our first bloggers event! However, the salesgirls were so welcoming (shoutout to Daniela for putting up with all of the questions we asked about the makeup!) and they told us that if we wanted to ask something about any of their products or need their assistance they'd be happy to help. We were given the chance to go round the shop and try out and test some of the products that were in the shop.

Being two friends who went to a beauty related event definitely helped to calm down our nervousness! We started going round the makeup sections and I think we spent a solid 30 minutes near the Sleek stand - it was the 2nd stand we found πŸ™ˆ They have a full range of products and we nearly swatched all of the Matte Me Lipsticks! Going around we could easily see that they cater for everyone from drugstore products to high-end products, which is a really good choice as one could easily find what they are looking for irrespective of price. Some brands which really caught my attention were Makeup Studio , Sleek (obviously!), Rimmel and Stefania D'Alessandro. Apart from makeup items they also have a wide range of perfumes such as the new Good Girl perfume 😍 This was my first time going to this store but honestly I loved its setting and the fact that they have a wide range of products available - and an important added bonus was that the whole staff was very helpful and friendly!

We also met a couple of bloggers, some which we look up to such as A Blonde on the Go, As Told By Jade, Grazielle Camilleri, Claire from Attaire and many more bloggers whom we hope to meet very soon 😁

At the end of the event, after talking and sharing opinions about makeup with other bloggers we were each given a goodie bag and a delicious cupcake that we devoured within seconds πŸ™Š

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Melita Health and Beauty for such a generous goodie bag which was filled with impressive products from different brands and for inviting us to such a lovely event! We are looking forward for more πŸ˜„ P.S. Expect reviews very soon on our blog on some of these products! If you are interested in any of the brands that Melita Health and Beauty sell you can contact them on their facebook page here or on their website here; we promise you you'll not get out of their shop empty handed !

That's all for today, see you on Wednesday!

Halloween Skull Makeup

Hiyaaa ❤ !
Today's post is out of my comfort zone but I wanted to try out my skills in Halloween makeup and I think for a first timer I did pretty wellπŸ˜ƒ

This photo shows the finished Skull-look :

I freaking loved doing it and was pleased with the outcomeπŸ™ˆ  So if you'd like to know how to achieve this look keep reading for a tutorialπŸ˜„

I first started by applying a huge amount of foundation. I personally used the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation as its not the one I'm using at the moment and it has kind of a slight shimmer to it so I thought that it would give a good effect to the look. I literally pasted my face with this foundation and then used a beauty blender very lightly to even it out. I had to leave it for a few minutes to dry before continuing. Then I applied the lightest shade from the Sleek Cream Contour Palette for under my eyes and lightly dusted some Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Translucent Powder to set everything out.

Using an angled brush I applied the shade 'Ink' from the Sleek Ultra Mattes Darks Palette (V2). At this point I didn't really know what colour scheme I was going to use so I was just winging it πŸ˜…. I filled and accentuate my eyebrows with this blue shade and then moved on to eyeshadow.

I picked up 'Highness' from the same Sleek palette and with a tapered blending brush applied it all over my crease and elongating it at the end to look like 'winged'. I kept applying this colour until I was satisfied with its intensity. Then using the shade 'Dodgems' from the Sleek Whimsical Wonderland Collection - All the Fun Of the Fair Palette I cut the crease with a flat angled brush. This created contrast and a guide for when I applied the black shade.

For the black shade I used 'Blackout' from the Naked 2 Palette. I applied this with a very small flat brush as I knew that if I went overboard with the black shade there was no turning back πŸ˜‚. I applied it close to my upper lash line and over half my lid and then blended it out. I also applied it elongated at the ends to match the purple shade.

I then used a black pencil eyeliner from IT Style and applied it to my lower lash line - I used a pencil eyeliner and not the shadow itself as I have very sensitive eyes and I wanted to avoid watery eyes πŸ™ˆ then I went in with 'Blackout' and the small detail brush and applied it under the lash line and blended the pencil and shadow with a blending brush so that everything is kept smooth. Below the black shade I went in with the shade 'Highness' to create kind of a shadow and remove the ragged look I had.

Moving on to the hollowed cheeks, I first applied a light black shadow outline for where I wanted my hollowed cheeks. This will be used both as a guideline and to create a more deepened effect. Then using a blush brush I picked up the colour 'Highness' and started applying it from the inner part outward. At this point using the black line as a guideline so as to not go above it so much, just enough to blend out the harsh black line together with the purple shade. After applying several rounds of 'Highness' I wasn't satisfied with the depth so I turned to the Carli Bybel Palette and applied the darkest mauve-purple shade with a tapered blending brush close to the black line. This instantly gave off the desired effect and after blending everything out again with the blush brush I was ready from the cheeks.

At this point my lips had nothing on them and I was struggling to give them a ghost-like look as I have no white lipstick or the sort. However, an idea came and I decided to give it a try and surprisingly it worked very well! My brilliant idea was to cover my lips in foundation and then smother them in transculent powder to mattify them and give them a whitish look. I then used Nyx Liquid Matte Eyeliner to create the lines on my lips, first drawing the outside lines and then drew horizontal lines over my lips and at the outline. This was not done in a particular manner so you can do it whichever way you like. With the same liquid eyeliner I drew a random shape over my nose and then filled it up and applied some 'Blackout' shadow to intensify the blackness even more.

Picking up the mauve-purple shade from the Carli Bybel Palette I started adding shadows and details to make it look more real. Under my lips I dusted some of this colour to create a shadow-like effect. And then I created the impression of a frown by applying the shade on the upper inner part of my nose and going up to over my eyebrows. I even applied some to the inner corner of my eye blending it with 'Highness' to create more shadow-effect. Also, apply it to your temples to make the skull look more hollowed and scary πŸ™Š.

The last step is totally unnecessary but I wanted an excuse to splatter my face with highlight so I applied the darkest highlight shade from the Carli Bybel Palette and applied it over the hollowed cheeks, at the tip of my nose and dusted it lightly over my upper lip.

This brings us to the end of the tutorial - it took me two hours to get it just right so be prepared to spend some time on it ! If you like this look and tried it out please tag us so we could see your recreation!

Fall Lookbook

Hi! Hope everyone is doing great and that you had an amazing start to your weekend πŸ˜„ Today's post is a super exciting one πŸ’›This is because we are bringing you our first Fall Lookbook. We worked extremely hard on this so we hope you enjoy it and get some style inspiration from it!

Before we get into today's post we would like to thank 5 of our beautiful friends for helping us out in today's post and bringing the ideas that we had for this lookbook to life. You'll find links to their Instagram at the end of the post ... and be sure to stay tuned to this page because you'll see their pretty faces very soon πŸ˜‰

So let's hop into today's post ❤🍁

Outfit #1 - Lara

For this outfit Lara wore this stunning coulotte which in my opinion SCREAMS Fall due to its vibrant orange and yellow colours. She paired it with a simple black crop top - anything that is tight, plain and neutral will go great with this coulotte as this will create balance in the colours and in how the whole outfit looks. She finished off this look with a pair of simple black strappy sandals.

Outfit #2 - Martina

For outfit number 2, Martina wore this bodycon army green dress which in my opinion is another beautiful colour to wear for Fall. Now for those of you who cannot wear this kind of dress because of the cold weather you can easily throw on a chunky nude or brown scarf to keep you warm and cosy. She accessorized the outfit with an olive green bag and a pair of orange heels to give the outfit the pop of colour it needs.

Outfit #3 - Rebecca

Jumpsuits. Must haves. I L-O-V-E this jumpsuit and it's so classy! Rebecca here is wearing a simple black and white striped jumpsuit with a pair of red heels. I mean...what more do you need? It's the perfect combo 😍 You can throw on a black blazer or a blazer such as the one Rebecca is wearing that has the same design as the jumpsuit. Plus, the vertical stripes make you look slimmer and taller!!

Outfit #4 - Nicole

We're going to switch things up now and go for something different! This is a fitted one piece dress-shirt. I feel that all of these pieces are autumn colours: maroon, army green, orange and mustard! This dress again has the vertical stripes which I love and is also long-sleeve - that's always a plus because you can wear it even when it's colder! Nicole paired this outfit with a pair of nude pumps.

Outfit #5 - Rebecca

For the 2nd outfit that Rebecca is wearing she wore this beautiful trench coat; one that is more on the shorter side. Underneath it she wore a simple black tee and paired it with a light washed denim distressed jeans and completed the look by wearing a pair of flats (Loafers).

Outfit #6 - Nicole

As you can see our love for jumpsuits is huge ! But I believe that it is the perfect combo for these colder months. It's like you want to wear something different rather than just a shirt and a pair of trousers but you're still not in the mood to show off your legs in dresses! Hence, Nicole paired this stunning green army jumpsuit (see, I told you it's a must have colour for Fall!) and paired with some chunky black heels and a black choker which in my opinion gives the whole outfit such a twist to it! Chokers are the trend right now so it's important you invest in one, plus you can find super affordable ones πŸ˜€

Outfit #7 - Rebecca

Yes, we are aware about the fact that we know a lot of Rebecca's! Rebecca is wearing this super cute and comfortable black skater skirt which she wore with a maroon crop top. For shoes she wore a pair of black rider boots to keep her warm during the colder days. To accessorize, she wore a chunky scarf that has a mixture of blue, grey and maroon and wore a handbag that has similar shades of blue as the scarf. You can throw on a leather jacket if it gets even colder!

Outfit #8 - Martina

For this last outfit, Martina incorporated a classy blue striped shirt with a pair of denim ripped jeans. She paired it with a pair of blue heels. I love the ripped jeans with this outfit because it gives it that edgy look - switch up the way you wear your shirts i.e. not always with black trousers or with really smart pants especially if you're going for a more casual look.

That's it for this Fall Lookbook! 8 beautiful outfits and 5 stunning girls - we hope you enjoyed it πŸ’—
We'll see you next Monday 😘

Love,
